In the past decade, there was a frequent conflict between the majority and the minority in a small town. A solitary writer tried to find evidence to understand the real problem. He had a strong vision of peace and unity.
One day, he caught a glimpse of hope when people started talking calmly. In recent days, they decided not to hesitate to share their feelings. They realized that violence was absurd and unnecessary.
The writer later turned this story into a piece of fiction, hoping it would inspire others to choose peace․

Friday – Choose a situation or think of one of your own when things went wrong or something unexpected happened. Use some of the comment adverbs (interestingly, sadly, unfortunately, luckily …):

• a meal in a restaurant
• missing a train/plane
• thinking you recognize someone you know but actually don`t know.

I was walking home from school when I saw a girl who looked exactly like my friend. Naturally, I got excited and ran over to say hi. Unfortunately, when she turned around, I realized she wasn’t my friend at all. I felt a bit embarrassed. But luckily, the girl laughed and said it happens to her a lot. Interestingly, she even had the same style and hairstyle as my friend did. After that, I just smiled, said sorry, and continued walking.
