This year I have developed a lot in both knowledge and values. I feel that my way of thinking becomes more mature every day, and I am becoming more responsible. I also participated in several projects that helped me work more independently and cooperate with my team.
We did a project about friendship called “Worksheet 1: Friendship Qualities & Reflection” and “Worksheet 2: Friendship Survey” This project taught me what true friendship means, what qualities a good friend should have, and how to value my friends more.
During the year, we also had a guest from the USA, Mr. Steve. With him, we did a project called “Unsung Hero” We wrote an essay with this title and then recorded our voices. After that, we gave our essays to artificial intelligence to check our mistakes. Then we asked artificial intelligence to give us questions and tasks to help us learn more. This project helped me improve my writing and speaking skills.
We also did a project about movies. We wrote about our favorite films of all time and their lessons. We also wrote about the soundtrack of our favorite movie and how it affects me and other people.
We did a project called “Religious Discrimination” This project taught me to respect different religions and understand that all people are equal and deserve respect.
We also did a project called “Moral Responsibility of Drug Users” This project helped me understand that people are responsible for their choices and actions.
Finally, we wrote “About the Lessons in High School” prepared a presentation, and presented it at school. This helped me feel more confident when speaking in front of others.
Besides the English projects, I also did several projects in Literature. One of them was “A Book Every Month” which continued during the whole year. This project helped me develop my reading skills, think more deeply about books, and understand the meaning and lessons in different stories.
We also did a project called “Reading Tumanyan” this project helped me better understand Armenian literature, the ideas of Hovhannes Tumanyan, and the values in his works.
In Ecology, we did a project called “Land Use” this project helped me understand how people use land and why it is important to protect nature.
IIn Spanish, I did a project where I chose the Spanish poet Rubén Darío and selected one of his poems, Amo, amas, to study, learn and then recorded our voices. I also chose a Spanish cartoon, translated its words, and made subtitles for it. I also wrote a project about “La Historia y los Datos de la Alhambra”. During the winter camp, I did a project about the sightseeing places of Spain. After that project, I chose a famous Armenian athlete, Artur Aleksanyan. I wrote about his life journey and achievements, and I also prepared a video about him.
During this year, I learned how to organize my time better, express my opinion more confidently, and not be afraid of making mistakes. I understood that every mistake is an experience that helps us grow. I also started to value hard work and determination more. This school year taught me that success comes through hard work and persistence, and I believe that this year’s experience will help me move more confidently toward my goals in the future.
At the same time, I also had some weaknesses. Sometimes I could not organize my time well and left some tasks for the last moment. Sometimes I was not as active in class as I could be, and there were moments when I doubted myself and my abilities. However, I understood my mistakes and I am trying to improve. I want to be more organized, participate more actively in lessons, and be more confident in myself.
